How do I print a model designed by myself?
If you design the model with the X-MAKER app, simply tap Print. If you design the model with other design software, upload it to the X-MAKER app via PRINTER - Go slicing - Import local files, then tap Print.
How do I print a third-party STL model file?
You can print third-party STL model files in the X-MAKER app from cell phones, tablets and computers. Here is how.
What should I do if the model is large and exceeds the print range of X-MAKER JOY?
Scale your model using the editing function in the app. Refer to the AOSEED Wiki for detailed instructions.
Will the printer automatically shut down when it finishes printing?
The printer will enter the low-energy mode after printing is complete but it will not automatically shut down.
Does the X-MAKER JOY printer need to be connected to the X-MAKER app at all times during printing?
No. Once the print file is uploaded to the printer, the app can be disconnected without affecting the printing process.
What is the recommended ambient temperature range for using my X-MAKER / X-MAKER JOY?
It is recommended to use your X-MAKER / X-MAKER JOY in an environment with an ambient temperature between 5-30 °C (41-86 °F) / 15-30 °C (59-86 °F).
How much space do I need to leave for the printer?
It is recommended to leave at least 15 cm of space at the back of the printer for the filament spool. No specific space is required on the other three sides.
How should I maintain the printer over time?
After six months of use, apply a small amount of lubricating oil to the screw rod and smooth rod of the printer. Regularly clean the residual filament from the nozzle and keep the print platform clean.
Can X-MAKER JOY print ABS filaments?
No. The X-MAKER JOY does not have a heated bed for ABS filaments.
Does X-MAKER JOY have a filament break detection function?
No. It is recommended to replace the filament before it is completely used up.
How to resolve error code 130 encountered while using the app?
This error is typically caused by a loose nozzle. To fix it, remove and reinstall the nozzle. For instructions on removing and installing the nozzle, refer to X-MAKER JOY Quick Swap Nozzle and X-MAKER Quick Swap Nozzle.
